Sara says: "a guate Idee" (a good idea) to me and walks into the living room. I hear some loud bangs and Sara saying "na, des net. des oh net" (no, not this one...). Then she comes back to her 'bike' with her handbag and hangs it on the handle bar. Sara looks at me and states : "a guate Idee". Kids are so much fun!
My aunt Ruth had such a cool 'bike' when she was little. Now it is mine. And I'm very proud of it. I'm telling everybody about it: "Sara hat oh Fahrrad". Let's go for a ride!
Semester break is cool. Time to play. With my godmother I climped up a mountain, went sleighing, 'redesigned' a snowman, read about 300 picturebooks, played hide&seek 200 times, 'looked' for apples 50 times :-), ... It was Semester break for mummy and daddy too. Thank you!
This week was a special one, because my granddad accompanied me to Zurich. On the way we stopped at the "Alpamare" to swim. The next day we went to the zoo. Every day in winter, when it is could enough, the penguins are allowed to walk around the zoo and you can walk with them. Wow, they were almost as tall as I am! I would have loved to play hide and seek with them, but my granddad had to hold me because their beak could hurt my eyes. It was very special to see one of my favourite animals that close. Of course we visited the elelpants, tigers, monkeys,... as well. Thank you granddad! Come again!
Everyday I'm looking forward to daddy coming home in the evening: "Papa schaffa ganga. Sunscht netta Geld. Geld kamma zahla go." Once Daddy is home, he is hardly allowed to change his clothes, because it is playtime. And after dinner, daddy needs to sing "Silent Night" before Sara falls asleep. Sara's comment: "Papa Bettle goo. Stille Nacht - Papa so guat."
This year I'm a magician. Magically I lost my hat. My auntie and godmother made it just for me, with lots of stars and a moon. So I dressed up with my grandmothers jewelry.
Sara loves to talk her doll for a walk. As it has minus 10 C outside, we have to be inside. Whenever the dool falls out of the stroller, Sara gives her some kisses and cuddles. She tells the doll stories too.
"Elmar the elephant" is one of my favourite books. Elmar is very different. As you can see. In one of his stories there is a little bird hiding. "Vögele isch hinterm Ohr (Elmar's Ohr)", says Sara. This week Sara and I made our own Elmar.
Today we celebrated Chinese New Year. As it will be the Year of the Dragon, Sara got chopsticks with a golden Dragon. Surprisingly Sara managed to eat her Chinese Dragon Noodles without help. After singing a few chinese songs, we watched the Chinese New Year Show on CCTV9. We wish you all:

That's my favourite game at the moment. I hide my self - more or less and the little wooden cow and the wooden penguin have to seek me again and again.
I went to an exibithion at the famous Zürich University. It was about architecture. After that I went to the zoological collection. Lot's of animals. One thing was strange: the animals did not move.
Waited that long. Finally it was there. This magical moment mummy and daddy had told me about. I even painted a picture of the bracelet I had seen in a shop in Zürich. There were thousands of toys, but when I saw that wooden bracelet, I knew that is the one. Mummy had to write 'Für's Christkind' and 'Sara' on it. And then we posted it. And waited and waited... until...
...from the cookie jar? Who me, can not be! Sara loves the cookies her granddad and her aunties baked for her. Of course we did some baking with Sara too. But guess who stole the cookies?
Christmas Eve. I'm baking the little 'Jesus Baby' with my dad. Waiting for the "Christkind" to come.
宝宝学汉语。Sara enjoys learning chinese. She can already say a few words like 'nose' or 'tiger' and she understands even more: clap your hands, stomp your feet, jump,... It's amazing how fast little children 'pick up' a language.
Oktober. When we are in Zürich we often walk to a small zoo. Sara loves to watch the animals, especially the goats. They always come close and want some grass. Especially the black goat on the picture. But one day the goat decided to bite into Sara's shirt. Sara was shocked. Two month later she is still telling everyone the story: "Meck, Lieble bissa! Netta, muss eiei!"
September/October. Sara enjoys hiking in Fraxern at the weekends. There she can see lots of animals: cows, chicken, horses, two rabbits, sheep... Sara loves all those animals, but she loves her two donkeys most. Their barn is only five minutes from our home, so she feeds them almost every day. Sara: "Esel Gräsle gia. Stop Auto kunnt." 
In September we spent a few days in Santo Stefano al Mare (Italy). Daddy wanted to take some pictures, but his two 'fish' needed to jump into the sea ---desperately!!!!!!!
All that sand,... have to go swimming again. Sara went swimming at least five times a day. When she wasn't trying to sneak into the warm water, she cooked sandcakes or exerciced walking in the sand.
Great that there are IPhones nowadays. So we could catch one of the first steps Sara made at the end of July. (Even have a video, if I'll ever manage to upload it one day.)
I start talking a lot now: Papa - beste , Mama, Ball, heiß, na, net, ... every day I learn some new words... amazing.
